it's a different story, but the characters were introduced properly in 1, and they don't have a proper introduction in 2, since it's assumed you know them already
so you'd feel a bit confused when they make references to past events in part 1... i'd suggest viewing a playthrough of judgment on youtube?

I'll see my self out , shame on Sega? Microsoft. I would say play on PC/steam if you got the specs. I just think watching a video of said game ruins it especially if you have never played it.

My mistake. It's available for Xbox Series X, not Xbox One. It's my fault for assuming that since it was on Series X, that you could get it for the One.
