FWIW, I've ordered Apple gift cards from Amazon several times without issues. Just load them into you Apple account the second you get them.

Like, to pay off your credit card? I highly doubt it. Apple GCs can be used at Apple Stores (online and IRL) or for Apple online services like iCloud, Music, TV+, etc.

I've held Apple GC for months, even over a year, without issue. When the rumblings started last year or so about the ones purchased at Target in store, I loaded them all on my account. had quite a few iTunes cards there too.

It seems that the most complaints are usually the physical cards, from Target and Walgreens. At least those are the ones I've run across.

In Target thread someone said they carefully replace the cards inside the envelope, so it doesn't match to the barcode on the sleeve anymore, so the criminal is the only one who has pin code to the card you loaded up (because loading up by the cashier occurs by scanning the sleeve, no the card which is hidden inside the sleeve).
