If you are on the Amazon mobile app, there is no way to tell if you have already applied the code or if you did the deal wrong, so I would suggest checking out on a desktop mode browser and not the app.
It shows that qualifying offer before we enter the code (UBER22)... When entering the code it says the code is invalid... It would usually change something after putting it in right? Also, using desktop, so that shouldn't be an issue.

My Amazon rep told me it will work, just go ahead and do it. I told them I got stiffed last time on some oculus promo. Still to date never received despite arguing twice and getting case ids. still kind of upset about that one.

People have said previously that if you apply the code once it gets tied to your account, so if you leave the checkout and come back later and try to apply the code again it will give you an error. On the desktop version you will see the qualifying offers to the right which lists that you're getting the promo. If you'd like additional assurance you can go back to the product details page for the gift card and the section below the gift card says "Special offers and product promotions" which has a link at the end "See more products in this promotion" As long as the item is already in your cart click that link and at the very top of the next page it will have a green checkmark and say "Your order qualifies! 1 items from this promotion in your cart : $100.00". For the apple gift cards it treats physical and digital separately so make sure you follow the link for the right one.

On the "See more products in this promotion" page you can click the terms link which will pop up with all the fine print, they will give you the promo credit in 3 days.

According to Amazon support it shows up at the same time as the gift card but you will not see it in your account only at checkout
