I have this set and purchased for my son the same year I believe 2020. They were on sale for $119.00 at Home Depot. In the last 2 years the cheapest I have seen it on sale is $129.00 at Blains Farm and Fleet HOWEVER, Blains will not ship to California! Anyhow, $149 is still a great price and doubt it will drop much more as EVERYTHING is more expensive this year than previous years with run away inflation AND insane shipping prices!

11/25/2020 purchased 3 of these DeWalt sets as gifts for $89.99 each (free shipping) from Fleet Farm. Looks like this year's $89.99 tool set from Fleet Farm will be CRAFTSMAN Mechanics Tool Set - 227 Pc, Model No: CMMT45302.

I purchased this set for $119.00 Jan 20, 2022 from Home Depot. I had to get Home Depot to price match.

People are paying the $149 sales price as once they shop around the they find NO ONE has a complete set like this anywhere near this price. Frankly I have been waiting for Dewalt to eliminate the set the last couple of years because it's such a good deal even at the regular price $200+. That's why I bought it for my son as he is just starting to work on things including cars and I told him this set will last a lifetime and probably supply 80-90% of the sockets he will ever need! If he expands into a roll away tool box and chest he can take the sockets out and put them into his tool cabinet. It truly is the best complete socket set on the market for the money! Wrench sets to complete the set are available everywhere and I also included a metric and SAE chrome wrench sets in my gift to him.
