logitech business strategy:
let's take our best selling living room keyboard k400, add ugly yellow colors to it and call it plus, and also discontinue our backlit keyboard with trackpad (k830) at the same time.

also let's ignore the top reviews on logitechs own website of customers BEGGING for them to bring the k830 or k400 original back.

Love this thing for htpc.

Pro's
Incredible battery life
Great range
Extremely reliable and long lasting
Just the right size

Cons
-trackpad kinda sucks, but i've searched hi and low for an alternative and can't find anything.
-aweful for gaming

The perfect keyboard for your computer hooked up to your TV so you can use on your couch. (Can't use a normal mouse while laying back on your couch)
Had it for like 7-8 years now. I use it so often I would pay $300 for a better option but there is nothing that I can find.

Used to be around $12-14 sale price on Amazon. Was $18 'bout week ago or so. Thought it will be cheaper as usual on BF. So far seems like it will not Frown

Well, original k400 which I got 10 years ago for $4.99 from staples, thanks to SD, served me well, but just died (start typing random double digits/letters like you pressing S and it types 9Y etc). Brand new on Amazon or any other marketplaces are around $30-40 right now. Would pay $15 right away for it instead of buying Plus model.

Bought this in 2012 for $4.99 from Staples. Just as reference Smilie Was strong for 10 years, just decided it's enough for $5 and died.
Why I bought one instead of at least two and keep one as a spare... Well, it's a different story and I have no explanation Applause

FYI.. this comes with the Logitech USB Unifying receiver. So if you wanted another Unifying receiver.. this is a very attractive deal as you basically get an additional wireless keyboard + touchpad for $8 more.

That said be aware of the absolutely latest and greatest Logitech keyboards & mice.. as they have recently switched to the USB Bolt receiver. However, the older USB Unifying receiver works just fine with the MX Keys and MX3 mice.

Have one as well that I got recently. Love it. Except, I'm looking for a cheap but effective case to keep the dust away. Anyone have recommendations?

No backlight, no bluetooth. It's like they are going back in time on features.

Wireless keyboards are better without backlight because the battery lasts 50 times longer.

Great keyboard if you have any kind of media PC. Great battery life too, I've had mine for nearly 5 years and I can't remember the last time I changed the batteries. The extra mouse click button on the top left corner is very convenient.
