I had a Fi S22 active in this account from May and completed the 120-day deal in Sept then cancelled Fi service. So I used it to place an order for an S22 30-day deal on 12/9 on the basis that I'm a Fi member who had Fi service within the last 180 days. Since I don't have an active Fi line in that account, I had to port in a phone number (I used my GV number).
The phone was delivered on 12/15 but I wanted to wait until my trade-in iPhone11 ($335) had been inspected and paid before activating the phone, so I could pay the 1st month bill with the excess trade-in credit.
Initially, there were 4 line items, then changed to 3, and the wording about "Current Member" disappeared. The countdown for remaining days to activate had been going, down to 18 days last night. This morning I got an email from Fi titled "Don't Lose Your Fi Rebate" and the content said I wasn't meeting the terms of the promo. There's a link to check my promo status so I clicked on it. It showed "A new Fi member activated device". WTF, the phone is still in the sealed box.
I got the phone out of the box, downloaded the Fi app, logged into the Google account that I used to order the phone and activated the phone with a port-in from my GV account. The activation was successful (meaning it wasn't previously activated), got an email titled "Service Activated" with a "Welcome BACK " message meaning I'm NOT a new member. But as of now, the warning message is still there under Fi Savings. I'll see if it will go away after 24-48 hrs and start the countdown. If not, I'll have to contact Fi support.

Have you had your Fi membership for a while, or joined recently with a store-bought Fi SIM? Which email did you get, Welcome or Welcome Back?

12-23 My S22 arrived I activate phone using the sim on it. Transfered my current service from old phone to S22.

Me:I have a issue with my fi credits not updating my status for the activated device that I bought
Isaac [9:13 PM]:
I'm sorry to hear that. I'll certainly look into this and help you.
In case the conversation gets disconnected, we will send you a follow up email with the next steps or asking for information to resolve the issue. Please feel free to contact us via your preferred channel for immediate assistance.
Me:I read the terms before purchasing the device but a rep told me that i was not current fi customer when i ordered the phone
Isaac [9:16 PM]:
To receive the Google Fi credit, you must keep the device activated for at least 26 days.
You will receive an email notifying them of the service credit after all terms and conditions have been satisfied, and the credit will be applied to the your subsequent bills.
Me:I activated it but still showing on my status on step 3 activate device
Isaac [9:18 PM]:
Correct! I see you activated the device successfully on December 24, 2022 at 10:18:47.
Step 3 will change once you've completed the 26 days.
Me:How many days should I stay to see the 500 credit
On my end step 3 says
Activate device within 26 days.
Does it mean it never got updated
Isaac [9:21 PM]:
No worries, as you have successfully activated the device, you need to remain active and in good standing for 30 consecutive days. Pausing, changing, or suspending the account will void the promotion.
So the rep told me that its I activated the phone on 12-24 and I need to stay 26 more days to fulfill the promotion.
I hope it will get updated soon so that I can also see it on my end.
