I have long, slightly waved Caucasian hair. This works great! I have no damage and it does not " rip" or " shred" my hair . Affordable is not a dirty word.

I had a dyson air wrap and returned it bc it took forever to dry my hair and didn't hold curls as purported. This dries my hair fast then anything else I've ever used. If I worked at it more, it would help with volume a ton as well. As is, saves me 10-15 minutes daily over a chi ionizing blow dryer and round brush. It does not give curls at all though. *My hair is elbow length and slightly wavy. Not thick but very fine so it takes a while to get it all dry without a damp wavy spot left. In summer, I get super sweaty just drying my hair bc but takes so long. This made it much faster so was better for that purpose as well in warm climates. Being very fine, my hair breaks easily and I have not experienced that with this dryer, but I don't do a lot of wrapping around, just kind of gently turning it as I brush with it on.

This seriously damaged my hair after a month of use. I ended up having to 75% of my length. The damage was so bad my hair was constantly frizzy no matter what.
Would not recommend.

I have this but don't use it often. If the brush was round, I'd get a lot more use out of it. To my mind, this is a design flaw in my case. It does rip the hair, though not too much, but enough that I need to hand-clean the hair out of it before the next use.. I have long thin mostly straight hair. I have a natural part/cowlick in the back and this does nothing to help with that; in fact it seems to exacerbate it. I have been moderately successful using a round brush and regular blowdryer to fix that.If you are going for curls of any kind, get a round brush model.

If you know anybody with a "big beard" this is the best beard dryer / straightener I've ever used. I still use a paddle brush and a blow dryer post shower but this thing is great for "cleaning up" a beard quickly if getting ready early in the morning or right before going out on a night.
I have one of those 12+ inches long competition level beards and received this and an "heated comb" like another straightener as a gift. The heated comb thing is useless and got returned.

I have medium length very thick, very coarse BIG curly hair. Left to dry natural it takes about 8 hours. I have tried many times over the years to get a straight style from blow drying followed by flat ironing. Nope. I use this device version with the slightly smaller head. All told my hair dries from damp in 20 minutes and I am straight and silky. No damage or tearing. I do not get tangled up in the bristles. My only beef is the bristles will bend up if you dont prop it strategically while it cools off.

Have used for a year plus. I let it start to air dry as I apply my makeup. Takes me all of five minutes then for polished results. Have below shoulder length hair that is processed with heavy high & low lights every 3 months…swear by at home olaplex treatment pre color

My stylist agrees my hair has never been in better condition. I'm guessing it's a bonus that I've no need for flat iron now, you can get the same results if you are patient and practice

No matter what heating styler you put on your hair, it's essential to keep it moving, spray on a good heat protector & section your hair

You absolutely cannot let it sit like a curling iron or your scalp will tell you to knock it off lol.
