I'm confused with the Run Pro's are IP55 instead of IP67. I had to replace my first pair of AfterShokz after a rainy run... thankful for the IP67 now.

Thanks!! I bought the OpenRun's a month ago for full price and my wife is jealous of them. This will make a great holiday gift.

I also see no reason to spend $40 more for the Pro's. It seems like you get 2 more hours of battery life in exchange for worse water proofing.

Yeah, I was gonna go pro but a lot of reviewers say the difference is minimal between 9th and 8th gen tech: just a little more bass and doesn't sound as flat. And it comes with a hard case.

The trade-off for a little more bass just didn't seem like it's worth it to me either. Ended up going with the OpenRun for the better IPX rating and $40 cheaper price tag.

There is no mini pro version AFAIK.... It's either Regular, Mini, or Pro...

The web site appears to show both the Openrun and the Openrun Pro in both regular and mini versions. The "Mini" is just on a slightly shorter/ narrower band piece.

I've used an older "Aftershock" model for a couple of years, despite its limited dynamic range. My ears get ischemic pain from in-ear devices, so I'm happy to use bone conducting headphones despite their limitations.

There is, and I've ordered it. I'll have to return the best buy mini i ordered, as it's not going to be used.

I just get swamp ear from in or over devices. No issues with these, though.

My coworker had the pros. I have the openrun. I Compared them side by side for about 30 mins to the same music and podcasts.

The pros do get more bass. But also more muddy on the trebles like vocals
I dont buy bone conduction for sound quality. I buy it for convenience and ability for all day wear w surrounding awareness.
Im not upgrading or buying the pros. The open runs are exactly what i want to fit my needs and expectations.
When I actually want good quality sounding headphones for music, I'll just switch headphones. No big deal.
