There's a lot of 3rd party sellers on Amazon with these. Currently cheaper too. With comingled inventory, it makes me uncomfortable buying.

These were cheaper not too long ago so buying these will be feeding the flippers.

Thanks for heads-up. On the hunt for these or similar with around a Benjamin to spend.

These, or in like-new condition from 3rd party Amazon seller, or perhaps Sony XM5 refurbished? Still more money for Sony, I know.

Will use with Samsung phone/tablet btw (both, at different times).

Ya, I've been looking for a deal on these for my wife. We have a few pairs of cheap ear buds but we each have/had a good pair for travel, gym, etc. She recently lost one of her good earbuds so I'm looking to get her a good pair on sale.

As long as it's new and sealed, why hesitation? No one is buying for 120 and flipping them, unless they want to lose 40 bucks.

If you have a Samsung phone, very easy to make sure these are real.

My comment about flippers is that people are flipping the recent Slickdeal Samsung had.

Woot is not an authorized reseller for Samsung products. You will most likely not have a manufacturer's warranty. My experience with Samsung customer service hasn't been great. Amazon isn't going to do anything for you after 30 days.

Samsung is a bit better tuned to my ear, and the fit is better for me. These buds2 pro fit better than any other I have tried.
The Sony app is pretty good though, and the XM5s are high quality, and have a more premium feel. Noise canceling is pretty good too. The XM5s can be EQed to a good sound via the app (I find the upper bass to be a bit much on default tuning), where the Samsung is more limited- only 2 presets are listenable for me. But fortunately the default tuning is very good on the Samsung.
Also, Sony has lagged behind in the size/fit in ear, although the latest version is a significant improvement over the XM4s. Those always work their way out of my ears over time. I think this due to weight balance due to their large size.
If you can get the buds2 pro at a good price, I'd save my money and go for those. The only downside is a less premium appearance and feel, but that trade off comes with them being light and well fitting. Of course fit depends somewhat on your ear shape, but design matters alot too.

Which recent Samsung deal? I know there's been few over time, but didn't see any recent. Ofc pixel tablet is full of flippers though! I don't care for warranty tbh, if saving is huge. 120 from woot is not that great at all. Samsung direct has them for 89 with edu. Bought a pair 3 days ago there.

I think you bought the one I was thinking of. I either missed it or can't replicate it. I have an EDU account. I'd pull the trigger for $90 directly from Samsung if I could get it.

Woot and Amazon are not on Samsung authorized list of retailers. Take that for what it's worth.

Have yet to find a Samsung earbud that fits well. They either are odd shape or uncomfortable after an hour.

Really enjoy the Anker Liberty 4. Got them for 60 bucks, best value I've experienced.
The Sony 1000xm4/5 are obviously better as are the Bose earbuds, however I've found myself using the Ankers more as they seem to stay in my ear better and are much easier to replace.

Screenshot before buying, use AMEX to purchase, if problems arise contact Amazon/Woot if Samsung denies, file a chargeback or extended warranty claim with AMEX if necessary.
