I work for one of the 3 large credit bureaus and can say most BNPL companies do not make a hard pull. I will say that most BNPL are shady AF when it comes to this. On reddit, one thought is that people with high credit scores won't qualify because the business model is built on people who might not pay so they rack up fees. Not sure if this is true or not, just conjecture from another message board.

If you keep your credit reports frozen (as we all should, just temp unfreeze when seeking new credit), Zip will automatically decline you and tell you that you cannot re-apply for 6 months. There is no recourse for this and they will not help you, even if you explain the situation. Glad I was not approved because they sound like a terrible company.

But why? Just why have it at all?

Is it still because redemption rates are low? Or just for MSI to get your contact details.
i hate them too... just adding you can do it online in 5 mins.

ZIP payment didn't work for me. Created the account but when I tried to make a payment (total was $515.46) I received a message stating payment does not qualify. My FICO is >800 BTW...

I really wanted to go through with this deal, I even ordered it but then canceled. I'm only really saving $60 on this deal and that costs me 1. No full returns. 2. RMA is through Asrock which I've heard is terrible. and 3. Sketchy payment service. Just too many red flags, ill wait for another. I can't be stressed about buying a new GPU, I want to be thrilled and not feel like I could be getting screwed at some point.
As far as Warranty i'm willing to take a risk on Asrock, I've had horrible experience with Gigabyte in the past on both a Mobo and Graphics card.

Newegg makes no sense. This card is now listed as a Shell Shocker item yet the price is the same it's been all month.
I had noticed the same thing.

https://www.tomsguide.com/news/am...on-rx-7000

and price on RX 6000 series will drop significantly from 13 December, of course.
So no point bother about AMD GPU deals right now at all.

Has anyone tried using the ZIP11 code and just paying with any other method?
I ask because it currently let me get all the way to final payment screen with PayPal and with Debit card without using Zip.
I am wondering if I submit the order if I will get some sort of order failed or charged a value different than on-screen.

Because currently, looks like it's possible to just use the code?

But what is the "luck" on getting one. I'm ready to hand over $1k asap for a 7900xtx, but realistically when will the common buyer be able to get one (and for that price).

I just purchased a 6900xt using the code... You have to use zip pay (it says not eligible at the final step is you try to finish using PayPal). The good news is it only took me about a minute to use the zip pay checkout and I saved like $70

You can apply the code, but when you finalize payment with something other than Zip, it will give you an error and remove the code. It will revert to price without the promo code discount.
