I work for one of the 3 large credit bureaus and can say most BNPL companies do not make a hard pull. I will say that most BNPL are shady AF when it comes to this. On reddit, one thought is that people with high credit scores won't qualify because the business model is built on people who might not pay so they rack up fees. Not sure if this is true or not, just conjecture from another message board.

If you keep your credit reports frozen (as we all should, just temp unfreeze when seeking new credit), Zip will automatically decline you and tell you that you cannot re-apply for 6 months. There is no recourse for this and they will not help you, even if you explain the situation. Glad I was not approved because they sound like a terrible company.

Thanks. Just purchased one. was looking into 3060ti / 6700xt range, but this one gives me some headroom and will fit nice with 1440. My credit is kinda messed up now, but I signed up on zip and filled their steps, applied the discount and 3 min later the purchased was concluded. never used anything to pay like this before, oh well

Speaking of Capital One, if anyone has a Venture X card, today is 30% rewards from Newegg. I used it for this deal and actually got a better discount than using Zip. There is some confusion about how to get this, but I was able to get it with the Capital One Chrome browser plug in . Hovering over showed that I was getting 30% rewards back. I also got an email from Cap One based on my web browsing habits which is what spurred me to check the reward percentage. Great deal, just hope Newegg doesn't manage to screw me somehow. The no return policy has be a bit worried. Like is a broken fan sufficient for a replacement or does it have to be 100% DOA? Hope I don't have to find out the answer to that question.

Honestly, these are the same reasons I backed off. I have $500 set aside for a video card atm and I'm using a 1660 for now. It's been solid on lower settings for all of the games I play so im not rushed. I don't want a hassle of any sort if the new card is a lemon. I know it's rare but it happens. It's a great deal though. Hard to pass up.

Damn, after seeing 7900 xtx #s, wish I picked this up for <1/2 the price.

Best price to performance is pure rasterization w/ 7900 xtx in a close 2nd.
