Are older Orbi WiFi satellites compatible with Orbi WiFi 6 Systems?
No. Currently, Orbi WiFi 6 Systems are only compatible with Orbi WiFi 6 satellites.
Likewise, special Orbi AC WiFi satellites such as the Orbi Outdoor Satellite, Orbi Voice, and Orbi Wall-Plug Satellite are not compatible with Orbi WiFi 6 Systems.

If budget is constrained, then at this deal price this might be a decent solution, depending on the specifics of your needs and layout. For your situation, trading up to the higher tier models has a clear benefit
I don't want to get ripped off but budgets not a problem. I just want something simple to set up that extends wifi footprint at good speed wirelessly. If you have a option you'd recommend I'd appreciate it. It just for my house. Looks like this deal is dead anyway. Thanks
Benefits of that system is that you have 6 tri-band so you have a dedicated backhaul and supports much faster speeds: up to 5.4Gbps vs. $18Gbps for this one.
I came from the RBR50 that I had for 4+ years until it died in early 2021. I purchased the Costco one (RBR750) at the time and has been quite happy. Due to how my house is laid out, I added a third satellite a few months ago, so now I don't hae dead spots anymore.
Always tri-band with dedicated wireless backhaul.

If you're having disconnect issues, this can happen during hand-off when you move out of range of either the router or satellite and connect to the next nearest satellite.
You'd be better getting help on Reddit for more technical issues perhaps.

Disregard, thought this comment was about the Orbi.
Connecting the satellite AP to your main AP using Ethernet. Otherwise you'll halve your satellite AP bandwidth since this mesh system is only dual band.
