It's pretty good, with a noticable and pleasant reduction in noise ... But don't expect QC or XM quality from these...
For reference, QC45 reduces the noise of my shark vacuum by 70%, while this one reduces it by hardly 30% or so even with full ANC indoor mode.. However, it definitely works really well to drown noise from vehicle traffic outside my apartment... Microphones are great too for meetings, but pick up background noise while I'm cooking or cleaning while on a call..

Overall, you won't get better earbuds at this price for a while, so go for it...

Someone mentioned they needed the app to switch noise cancellation.. I'm able to switch it by holding the earbud sensor for 2 seconds.. I only use the app for their ambient music/sounds of nature features...

Don't think you'll find a better set of earbuds at this price. These sound great and have lots of features. Download the app get it updated and then set the EQ to Piano or Classical. That EQ setting is the secret to all Soundcore products.

I have a have a pair Skullcandy Indy Fuel ANC and several different Soundcores. I use the Soundcores as my primary, the Skullcandy are just okay and if I had to choose between the 2 I would choose Soundcore all the way.

I also have a pair of Razer Hammerheads, but I would put the Skullcandy pair above those.

I'd never thought Anker would become a household name and, yet, here we are. They were best known for selling cheap phone chargers only on Amazon back in the days.

I have a pair of these and they are awesome, battery not as good as the Liberty pro 3 but for $35 it's a no brainer.

Can each bud be used independently without the other?

Do they have hear-through? (where you can hear around you even when they are in your ear)

Yes, but I found out that in order to not have any sound coming out of the other one you'll have to put it back in the case.
