To be clear, this only applies if you sacrifice ~10-15% performance for DDR4 RAM. So it's not really "competitive with Intel" because the AMD platform is straight up faster than 13th gen with DDR4. You pay a premium, but get premium performance.

Actually really decent price for 16 core, my 1950x build is pretty old by this time, I remember back in the days I need it get the ultra expensive x399 board and b die ram.
Still somewhat salty on x399 only lasted 2 generation, where as am4 get 5 generation
