Be warned - the battery version doesn't like the cold. I have mine wired, and when it was below freezing for a while in MI, it stopped charging the battery. And when the battery drained, it shut off completely (you can find many reports of this). If you live in a place where it is consistently below freezing for many days at a time, I'd avoid the battery version entirely

I think it's worth it for 20. It's not bad. When I'm in the office I use it to look at the camera or play a game. Also the photo frame is super nice

Ordered, seems like a good deal considering Nest Doorbell Battery is at lowest $120 on sale and the nest hub is $50 at the lowest on sale. Combined with Costco warranty, seems worth it for anyone who'd rather avoid Ring's security and privacy issues.

Hmm, wondering if the nest hub 2nd gen is worth the extra $20. Heard it's crazy sluggish but does anyone have any experience on using it just as a doorbell thing?

The battery doorbell is $100 on sale regularly
