I'll get one and slide it under my mother-in law to get her to her car, after the holiday.

Good deal, I have a couple of these in my shop. Most people use them for wood working tools but I have my 80 gal air compressor and my powder coating oven on on and they're great.

I have my table saw and planer on these. Makes it super easy to move tools in your shop/garage around without straining your back. The casters have levers that allow the tool to sit firmly on the floor when in use. These are well made and very sturdy but be sure to read the instructions carefully when assembling!

If you had a old Delta cast iron top table saw, would this work? It is heavy and I currently have the whole things in a frame with maybe 3 or 4 inch wheels. Works great for moving, but I have no way of leveling. If I use on my driveway, I can use a 4x4 in the front, lifting the wheels and it is almost perfectly flat top. But the wheels do not lock.

You might want to check out the heavier version that supports 1500 pounds. I think it is the pm-3500.

I have one of these on my baby portable table saw and it works great EXCEPT, there is nothing to hold the legs of the saw on to board (you provide the plywood). I wish they had some sort of hold down system so when the item doesn't fit perfect you could still push it without it moving. Basically if you make the base for say 20x20 and then you put an item on that is 14x14 it will move around unless you redo the whole base with a new piece of plywood.

Thinking about it, I guess this is why everyone buys multiple units....hmmm touche BORA, touche

I got this one and also the one that clamps a piece of plywood. The wheel locking is tricky sometimes. This price is quite common though as I got it last month around the cost with discounted gift card at HD.

A muzzle BEFORE might work better.

For those that clicked on this because it hit the frontpage and they have no idea what to use it for...

Put your clothes Dryer on it so you can wheel it away and clean the vents yourself.

Not sure what saw you are using it with, but I've never used plywood with these kind of bases. Just put the legs directly into the corners.

I need to find a set of these for washer and dryer. Can't pay $300 q piece for bases, but would like at least 4" lift. I bought this for my table saw.

I wouldn't do it. These are fairly light weight especially when you start to max out opening capacity. They are great for lighter tools with a narrow footprint like a floor standing drill press.

If you're using this with plywood, buy two packs of angle brackets like these [lowes.com] and bolt them to the plywood, then the legs to the brackets.
Or, since it is about woodworking, screw some scrap 2x4 offcuts to the plywood inside the legs of the saw.
