Yes, the sequential R/W performance is more than capable for media streaming. Should have no problems at all with compressed 4k content.

Good catch. I just picked up two of those from B&H, but I do wish they were as small as the one from this post. I really want one that I can keep on my Macbook for my virtual machines without having to remove it. The SD slot isn't cutting it from a performance perspective.
