Sign up for their rewards/perks and do their ways to earn for an extra $11 off. Hell of a deal
The knife's design, aesthetics, ergonomics, blade steel quality, blade geometry, locking mechanism, ease of deployment, fidget factor / ease of closing, quality of craftsmanship, handle material used, hardware material, ease of sharpening, how long the blade's sharpness lasts before it dulls and you have to sharpen it again, dependability / durability, warranty, country of origin, overall size and weight / how easy it is EDC, all factor into what makes a knife worth $100+, $200+, $300+, and beyond.
I own tons of knives from tons of brands and designers, made in U.S., Taiwan, China, Japan, Italy, Russia, etc. At the end of the day, worth is subjective and knives are just cutting tools. But a high quality knife can last much longer than cheap knives, and they usually look and feel much better.
For anyone wanting the $11 off. I'll explain it further since it wasn't explained well previously. This was all done on PC, not mobile, although I'm sure you can do it there as well. You have to first join the DLT rewards program. Once that is done, add the item to cart. On the cart screen there will be an icon on the bottom left of the screen that reads DLT rewards, click it. This will bring up a small menu. You then need to click on the tasks listed, sharing or following on various social media sites to earn the required amount of points necessary to get the $11 off. You have to have a minimum of 800 points to redeem for cash off. The initial sign up nets you 500 points with the rest coming from the tasks listed above. Enjoy your $11 off!

Own many Spydercos, but haven't got this one as figure I would wreck the tip, and Spyderco doesn't sell replacement blades. May have to jump at this price though.
If I didn't already have one of these 2, I would jump at that price. I bought a second S90V as in the post because it's some 45 bucks cheaper than it was initially.
The Micarta on the Cruwear model is one of my very favorite factory handles. Feels soft and fuzzy kind of, but also grippy and tough. Micarta is probably my favorite material for a heavy use knife handle (though I haven't for example, tried terotuf).
This isn't really much of a sale for s90. They are like 175 new as it is. They for sure are not 250 normally like it says. Only maxamet is 250.
These went for sale for 182 last spring (March '21) and disappeared in a hurry. I'm surprised these haven't sold out that this price, when 175 gets a regular PM2 model, not one with a more exotic steel like this.
250 is MSRP, if you could buy this particular exclusive of the Spyderco Factory Outlet, 250 is exactly what they would charge. But you can't. This would have been a killer deal in 2020. In late 2022, it is a standout.
BTW, the Maxamet PM2, with a street price in the 2-250 range, went for closer to 350 from the SFO when it was still available.
I just got mine and instead of the blade release being within the handle, where you can easily press it with your thumb to collapse the blade, they've placed it at the top. Really annoying.

Are you referring to the Spyderco compression lock versus a typical liner lock?

Could've done some research into the paramilitary before buying. The compression lock is a big reason why people love this knife. You get used to it. Pinch with your thumb and middle finger. Use index to hold lock and lightly swing.
It's a shame the liners are silver instead of DLC coated like the other DLC coated PM2s DLT has sold. Otherwise it's a great price.

"If you enter code Friendillia_2" you can get DLC liners" (totally made-up code)
Okay, but it's a shame that the liners aren't chamfered"
"Liners are chamfered"
Well, it's a shame that the chamfers aren't radiused
"Chamfers are radiused"
well, I'd like the radius to be in a Fibonacci sequence
"radius is constant - no Fibonacci sequence"
This isn't going to work for me in that case ;-)
