This game is fantastic. Cinematically, its the best Spiderman movie you'll never see in theaters. Gameplay wise, its a combination of Spiderman 2 (PS2-era) and Rocksteady's Arkham series. Utterly fantastic, worth every penny. If you have a PS5, if you buy the Ultimate edition of Miles Morales spiderman, you'll get the full remastered Spiderman for free.

miles morales Ultimate edition comes with a spider man remastered (ps5) voucher code to redeem on the PS store. I think that's the only way to get the remastered ps5 version
I'm not sure why anyone would do that unless I'm missing something here.. I can pickup Miles morals for $20 and remastered for $15, instead of paying $40 for 2 games. I thought Ps5 is backwards compatible, can play ps4 games.

The ps5 remastered and ps4 GOTY are cosmetically different, with the remaster taking advantage of the PS5 capabilities. A ps5 will indeed play the PS4 version, but the ps5 remaster is a different edition and will only work for PS5. Both versions have all the DLC, so the extra five bux is for the PS5 enhancements.
It looks like this has the DLC but is it the remastered version or does that only come with Miles Morales ultimate? I'm buying to play on PS5
Looks like regular ps4 version, which I have, and it will forever be capped at 30fps on ps5 and without any remaster.
Best Buy is having Miles Morales game for $20. You could buy that, then once you launch the game it'll show you an option to pay another $20 to get Ultimate which gives you the remaster version of this game. $40 for that combo is a good deal I think.
Can you please provide a link for the ps5 version of this game? I am a little confused as to which one it is.
It was confusing for me the first time I tried to make sense of all the Spider-Man games between the PS4 and PS5 versions as well. So here's what I came to understand:
PS4: Spider-Man GOTY (this deal); works on PS5 as well under backwards compatibility but will NOT take full advantage of the PS5 abilities.
PS5: 2 versions of Spider-Man Miles Morales:
Standard edition: only the the Miles Morales story line on disc (but you can pay an extra $20 to the online store to buy the Spider-Man Remastered version)
Ultimate edition: includes the Miles Morales story line on disc AND includes a digital code to redeem for the Spider-Man Remastered version
You might be wondering what's the "Remastered" Spider-Man all about. It's basically the same game as the PS4 game but enhanced graphics to take into consideration of the PS5's full abilities. Anyway, that's how I understand it. Hope it helps.
Per in depth Reddit searching, if you have ps plus, you can download Miles Morales for free then open the game and an option to upgrade to ultimate edition will appear for 20 dollars thus giving you Spider Man (PS5) for the price of ps plus and 20 dollars.
I often buy games used, but a trend is to have these games rely on downloadable codes to run and the disc itself doesn't do much...does anyone know if that's the situation with this game or the DLC?

Not two.. there's another version Miles Morales "launch edition" as well.. No idea what the difference is

You're not wrong. Seems like the "Launch Edition" is basically the standard edition but with a code for some in-game goodies (suit, gadget, and extra still point).
I agree with the comments about this being a good game story wise, and having really enjoyable gameplay.
The one criticism I have of the game is that the developers stuffed it with useless filler content. Just a copy & paste of the same combat scene scattered all over the map. Some of the worst open world padding I've seen. I mean - you can absolutely imagine that in the code there was a variable that determined the number of copy-paste scenes. They just said - let's set the variable to 100 instead of 20. It's barely a change in the code, but it'll increase the length of the game by 30 hrs. What a great idea. Let's do that!
If I buy this version, is free upgrade to remastered available for ps5 ?
Edit: after some digging I found out sony has no plans to push any upgrades to PS4 version. Purchased upgrade for my standard Miles Morales to Ultimate.

Does appear that way. Looking at other posts on reddit, it wont work. So deal doesnt look to include dlc.

It did, and Sony will not do a damn thing about it. I had my code expire, and they pretty much said I'm shit out of luck.
