GameFly: Extra 10% Off Used Games: Battlefield 2042 (PS4)

Nice deal for Ghostwire, but I figure I have waited this long, it will surely be sub $10 before too long.

The graphics, scenery, and sound are all incredible...unfortunately, that's the end of the list of pros for the game. (totally my opinion). It's just not "fun". I love all the BF franchises, including BF1 and BF5, but I just don't have fun with 2042. I tried it again last night since season 3 just launched, but it's not any better. Most of the time you spend running across the map to an objective...and then get shot from across the map. You never know where players are coming from, and when you finally get to a good location, or to an objective, you get sniped.

That chaos is part of the allure of Battlefield, but in 2042 it's just more frustrating than fun. I went back to BF1 and BF5 after an hour of 2042 last night that and had a great time right away. 2042 is just 'different'.

Unless you're a vehicle player, or like camping in helis, I just didn't have fun as a infantry player. You can use Portal to play past maps, so that is neat, but most of the time I'll log into a lobby...and be the only one there. 1 out of 64 players. Waiting...and waiting...and then the game will launch, and there's one other person on the entire map with you.

The graphics are incredible, and you see a ton of them as you're running around, but I've spent more time being frustrated with the game than having fun with it. Just my personal opinion, 2042 was just a huge letdown for me. As someone who plays COD and BF daily, it's the only FPS I've played...deleted...reinstalled in hopes it was better...deleted...and reinstalled it again...and then got frustrated again. All since launch. But some people love it!
