I have the red, I hate the bag. No smaller compartments/zips in the smaller section for pens, toiletries, etc. The side pouches are laughably cumbersome for water bottle purposes. Just not a functional bag overall

Got faked out by the picture. Don't really need one. Would go for one of these for a durable active pack. Don't think I want the grey and purple though

This bag is more of a hiking/outdoor travel kind of bag. The extra straps are for tightening the bag against you so it bounces less (which wears you out faster and makes your shoulders sore) and takes a little weight off your shoulders (the waist strap). I also believe that the straps for this bag are removable without cutting.

Just returned this today. Only wanted it for under-seat duty. Ridiculous amount of straps for such a small bag. It's way too dangle-y. Went with the Daylite tote instead. This looks like a great bag for a six year old though.

I owned one of these for a day. The main zipper is terrible and I ended up returning it. I am a fan of Osprey bags but this bag felt like they phoned it in.

Good deal for what it is -- lightweight and tiny. Should not be advertised as laptop-compatible.
I wish they had this price on the Daylight Plus.

Huge Osprey fan. This is their worse bag. So many issues like the fact that the way the shoulder straps are gathered on the top makes it so you carry the weight low on your back.

I have this backpack. I'm happy with it. I wanted a small backpack for day hikes. I didn't want a laptop compartment, which this doesn't have. I thought about buying this deal since mine got blemished when I ironed on a patch.

Probably the worst backpack I own, I got it for $24.50 a couple of years back from a deal posted here directly from Osprey. The problem for me is the straps. I can't get them to be comfortable for any extended period of time. Other than that it's solid quality like everything else I've gotten from Osprey. If I'd have purchased it from REI I surely would've taken it back but I just didn't feel like going through Osprey's return process.

This pack is very light at around 1 pound but is also relatively small, just big enough for lunch, water, and extra clothing on a day hike. It has a lot of straps because it has the sort of harness system you need for extended hiking or trail running with a hip belt and sternum strap. I find the harness to be very comfortable and stable. Side pockets are perfect for a quart Gatorade bottle and will take a 1L smart water bottle if you make sure the cinch strap goes around the bottle for extra security. This is absolutely my go-to pack for day hikes. I have probably hiked a couple of thousand miles in mine and while it is showing wear it is not worn out. This pack would not be a good choice for school supplies or gym clothes. As others have said it is too small and the pocket choices are too limited. It could fit a small laptop in a pinch, but there are much better options for a utility carryall or travel backpack.

I like the Daylight pack; it is my go-to pack for day hikes. The Daylight plus has the same harness system as the Daylight and is about twice the usable volume. If you load up the daylight plus pack it can easily get too heavy for the harness system. Because most of the additional capacity seems to be gained by extending the pack away from your body to the rear I find that the Daylight plus pack is ungainly if fully loaded. The daylight plus would be great for a hike where you need to carry a little food and water plus a lot of bulky warm clothing but that would be about the only time I would choose the Daylight plus over the Daylight or something like the Osprey Talon/Tempest.

The Daylight plus has just enough volume for travel or school use but for these applications, a pack with a simpler harness system and more pockets would be better.

I've owned one and taken it out a few times in hikes and trips so far. I think most of the criticism here is valid (small size, not many pockets, etc.). I'll add on I'm not sure if the straps they adjust height slip (I think they might).

One pro that's not mentioned. This is one of the few backpacks I've seen from a reputable brand that does fit the United tiny personal item size requirement:
https://www.united.com/ual/en/us/...ry-on.html

So useful to schlep a 13 inch laptop across country or wherever and still have a carry-on. I paid $60. So $37 seems like a deal.

Got one for 25 yrs ago. Like it but it is on the small side. Have taken it on several week long trips with no issues. One side of the chest straps did fall off though rendering it useless.
