For those looking for this mic...

B&H currently has the stainless steel version on holiday sale for $299.00. If you happen to have a PayBoo card, your total cost will be $299.00 (no tax). If you don't want to use B&H, for whatever reason, you could have another retailer pricematch it (Guitar Center, Musician's Friend, Sweetwater, etc.).

The stainless steel version has been going on/off sale for $399.xx for some weeks/months now. It debuted at $699.xx. The black version seems to be stuck at the regular $749.xx price that it debuted at. Not sure why there has been this premium for the black one.

These come with Triad-Orbit M2-R mount. 2-year standard warranty. The Earthworks company itself seems pretty responsive to any issues. For example, recently it was reported that hot swapping while on phantom power when connected to a RodeCaster Pro 2, could potentially cause certain affected production batches with serial numbers ending in a certain letter code to stop functioning . For those who have a unit from one of the affected batches, Earthworks had an announcement that they would be automatically converting the 2-year standard warranties of those units to their premium 10-year warranty. In the event that you get one of the affected units and it causes the mic to stop functioning, it will qualify for a warranty replacement. If you don't encounter the issue, then just keep using it and have some peace of mind of knowing you have a conversion to a premium 10-year warranty. The issue is apparently due to some batches having a bad part that results in the failure under these conditions. I would think that, by now, any new stock would not be part of the affected batch runs, but you can always check your serial number when you get it.

Interesting not seeing action on this post.. is this because of the Logitech Blue Sona being released and on sale for the same price at Amazon?
