    There must be some confusion about the scent not lasting long. You may not smell yourself after ~30 minutes (why would you want that?), but other people can smell your fragrance for hours. If you spray it on the skin, the scent will last. I've been wearing this exact stuff for more than ten years, and people will compliment me several hours after application. You don't want a scent that is overpowering and has a smell that lingers in a room.

    Correct. If you detect it any more than a few passing whiffs throughout the day, you're wearing way too much. Ironically, so far as I am concerned, random compliments are a person's nice way of telling me that I'm wearing too much too.

    Also, this is a summer fragrance with relatively light base notes. It's not an aquatic, but I wouldn't expect it to last all that long anyway.

    If you remember liking the scent but thought paying full price was too much, $50 for 3.3oz on any major brand fragrance is a good deal. It will last multiple summers. I am in for one and planning to carry in my gym bag.

    Honestly YSL colognes are versatile. Sometimes I wear La Nuit Homme toilette at office, which people say doesn't last long, yet I always get lots of compliments on it. It may not be a long laster but it does the job for office or professional setting. I picked this version up now too so appreciate the post! Thank you! Good deal for a summer hot weather flanker!
