This thing is the most gorgeous useless laptop you are ever going to own. Gorgeous. For 150 it's amazing as a piece of industrial art. Now practically useless because so slow. Comes with a pen. But when you try to use it's so slow that can't be used for any practical end. Can't even deal with a simple YouTube video without slowing to frustration. But yes it's gorgeous.

If it only had 6GB or more RAM and atleast 128GB eMMC. But it's probably asking too much, considering the price and what people are saying about the build quality. Now if it was for $99 or less, I wouldn't hesitate to buy.

I have the Thinkpad C13 from last time it was this price and the open box Lenovo - Flex 5 13" 2-in-1 Chromebook - Pentium 7505 - 4GB Memory - 32GB. The Flex 5 is a better deal with faster processor and you can upgrade the emmc to an ssd. Only thing good about the Thinkpad C13 is the keyboard

Tempted, you don't see 300 nits on a Chromebook in this price range. Don't see how someone said brightness was just "ok" , this seems to be way above average from what I've seen.

I'm curious though about this supposed "599" MSRP. Has this thing ever sold for 599?

I told myself I wasn't going to buy a laptop this Black Friday, but this is exactly what I need (a cheap on-the-go notebook to use mainly as a dedicated writing tool). Getting a Thinkpad keyboard and a 300 nit touchscreen for $150 was too good to pass up. Thanks OP!

get the asus, i returned the lenovo because it would freeze, bought the asus and its MUCH better. at least in terms of actual usability
