1. If you like the XM4, you'll probably like these. The ear pads are similar in feel and the sound signature is similar in many ways, although they sound a bit better (to me) than the XM4 or XM5.
2. If you're expecting anything like the Momentum 3, let's me stop you right there: I couldn't think of two more different headphones if I tried: looks, build, sound, user interface design… these were rebuilt from the ground up.
3. Noise canceling is OK: not as good as the XM4, but better than the Momentum 3.
4. Battery life is FANTASTIC, and they have a few interesting power management features, like turning them off/on when you put them in/take them out of the case (respectively). This is a bit buggy at times, though.
5. There's a weird bug where, if you're playing music on your device, then turn these on, they'll say they're connected but really aren't, and you'll need to connect manually.
6. A lot of units were sent back because of power button issues. I'm willing to bet this accounts for many of these being sold.
Edit: Sound and codecs - these use SBC, AAC, and aptX Adaptive. They're meant to be listened to with ANC on, and in fact you can't turn it off. If you're listening to them while off and wired, they have a HUGE spike in the upper mids. ("Honk" is appropriate.) They handle lossless if driven by the right DAC. They aren't very loud by default, but an external amp would fix that if wired. They can use USB-C for sound.
I have a lot of other thoughts, but in short: these are decent. For $250 they're good. But if you're considering these you may also want to consider the XM4 or even the XM5. If you love the Momentum 3, the Momentum 4 may not be up your alley. If I didn't own them already, I'd buy these: it's a solid deal.

I've done videos on all this, but don't know how kosher it is to post links.
