With a little bit of setup following a couple youtube videos you can get these playing very nicely. They typically just need a few screws turned.
I've ordered a few Indigo guitars from Monoprice and only once did I get a unit that played well with minimal setup. Some have had loose hardware with stripped threads, bad tuners, broken nut, and one with a severely warped neck.
All have been returned except two. The one that set up easily I kept. One with a broken nut I held on to as Monoprice promised to get me a new nut, but never delivered on the promise. When I later told them that since they didn't send the nut I wanted to return the guitar they refused the return. Crappy business practices.
That said, IF you get a good one it's a deal. Just be sure to check the guitar out throughly when you get it and return in a timely manner if necessary. Do not believe any promises they make regarding parts, etc.

A lot of things built during pandemic have issues (missing staff, supply line issues etc)
I was just reading Ford has to rercall 520K vehicles because of fire hazards
Recall afffected twice the vehicles from 2020.

One thing that I was surprised by was how much it weighs! It fell off the wall the first night so make sure you are in studs or solid anchors.
Why are people saying it's so cheap? My Strat was half of this. LOL. This is double priced to me!.

It says discontinued now. So good job catching it.

i actually bit and ordered a gold top Indio 66 DLX PLUS.
I opened up the box and at first glance the guitar seemed beautiful. Much nicer than I expected. I picked it and noticed how the frets were dressed nicely and the finish was really pretty. As I put the guitar in my lap and slid my hand down the neck I felt something very disturbing. The neck was cracked near the headstock.
A friend had also ordered one, and he received it a few days after the one I ordered arrived. The neck was cracked on his too, in almost the exact same place, ..on the headstock side of the scarf joint.
Monoprice/Indio has discontinued the model, so neither of us will be getting replacements. But, even if they could be replaced, with two cracked necks/headstocks I'm not sure that I'd trust the guitar not suffer a catastrophic neck failure.
It's a shame, as they seemed a steal for the money if they weren't defective.

I have two Mono guitars and they were both good out of the box (no set-up needed).
Original Gibson Les Pauls are infamous for cracks at the head because of the tilt. I guess the knockoffs can have same issue. I bought the Strat and Tele knockoffs.
I have a Epiphone Les Paul that I got from a slickdeal for $300.
That's probably the best way to go for that model.
They are usually $500 and highly praised for construction
