On a side note several cash back sites are giving up to 10% cash back on purchases of Ring devices.
Luck of the draw really. I had several trade-ins over the past couple weeks that applied immediately while others wouldn't. I can't figure out why.

How are you getting both the device trade in $34 AND the $40 gift card. I don't understand that.
Instant $40 gift card for the trade in plus the 20% off for the trade in. Others are getting it too. Not sure why they don't give it to some people.
I just brought in my trade in to their service center. Then I called Amazon and they told me I'd have to reorder and that I was misinformed. I went ahead and reorder and the discount applied to new order.

Yes, the other upgrade is the added radar. The original pro doesn't have this where any movement, no matter how far away from the camera will trigger the alert. With the Pro 2, you can customize how far out you want the alert to be notified ( ie ignore any movement in this shaded box area that is more than 20 feet from the camera, etc)
Personally, I don't think these added features are that important for this price, even at the sales price. if this were 4k resolution with 60fps with better dynamic range than that would be a worthwhile upgrade. again, just my opinion. I would wait for the next version upgrade.
Yes, this is the hard wire only version.
