So if you bought a new Electric Vehicle or a Plug in Hybrid and installed a charger at home, H&R Block is not your best choice.
As a reminder to those who purchase this, you will get a code that allows you to e-file five (5) FEDERAL income tax returns electronically. If you only use one or two uses of your code, offer the remaining uses of your code to fellow SD'er here. It will not in any way affect your own tax return nor expose your info. The code is only a means to upload your return to H&R Block's servers & then on to the IRS.
I've provided my own code in years past, here on SD, to fellow SD'ers when I was done using mine.

2020 - $17.99
2021 - $21.99
2022 - $23.95
Some price creep but still good deal. As others have pointed out, likely will be another SD under $20 if you hold out.

Last year I bought this on December 13 from H&R Block for $9.95 + tax.
The couple of years before that, I bought it from Amazon on December 2 both times. One of those timesI bought it for $14.97.
I may just go ahead and buy this for $17.49 (along with the other Quicken Premier deal) from Newegg despite all that. I kind of need to get started a bit early on taxes, anyway. lol.

Also last year there was a glitch in the software for one of the states where it would not read a field as filled in as 0 (it would say - field empty). Multiple calls/chats with HR and Newegg. H&R was completely stumped and clueless, and all I got from Newegg was store credit, not a refund.
Anecdotal? Sure, but not exactly a glowing review.
But maybe you should read before writing.
Pixel's are a risk on websites you surf (like this one) or do you taxes on (ex. HRBlock.com).
There are no "pixel's" for software you download and install on your own computer.
Read the news from this week. This was a deliberate breach of trust at best. With the high standard deduction, I think this is getting easier to ditch these guys. At least with Credit Karma, you know you are being sold.
It specifically says, ONLINE TAX FILING (ex. via a web browser) ...not downloaded H&R Block software that you install on your computer.
... or $5 by new year like last year!
