Can anyone comment on the sleeve length for marmot jackets? I usually wear a 35-36. Athletic build, but I don't want to be swimming in my jacket.

I own a marmot jacket (gravity soft shell), and sleeves are good on me. I have a medium, I'm 6'0" about 165 with 34/35" sleeves. So it should be about right or within an inch of perfect on you. My wife is 5'7" and her medium marmot jacket has plenty of length in the sleeves. It's been about a year since my last order from marmot, but if I remember correctly return shipping was free as well. Hope that helps!
