This is a great digital piano: we had one for years and just passed it on to a family member. If $900 isn't in your budget, there are usually a few used models on Facebook Marketplace/Craigslist/Mercari/OfferUp for under $500.

It's more like a P125 in console form, P45/P71 uses the older inferior AWM sound engine. They do share the same key mechanics.

This YDP144 comes in at the same price as a P125 with cabinet stand and pedal unit ($899). For those shopping P125 it might be worth getting this if you want a cabinet and lid to keep dust off keys.

Not comparable to the 125 because it doesn't even have tweeters.

All of yamaha's stuff is really old. inferior awm, everything is inferior compared to where the industry is on vsts.

How is this compared to Casio px 870? Hoping to see that back down in the $800 range like the one I missed last week

As someone with a P-125 that seems to be a static cling dust and hair magnet, I would love to have a lid to flip over. I wish the P-125 didn't use 60+ screws on the bottom, making it quite a chore to clean it out.

The keybed on P-125 is great. I've had mine for 4 years, and it's taken a beating but still works great.

I have Yamaha and px-870. I love them both. I give px-870 an edge for value. It's no nonsense play-the-piano deal. No other digital gimmicks. But Yamaha always loved the sound. Casio I had to open my heart to it and it did win me over. I would not recommend anything before px-870.
