I was able to score this dishwasher for $100 off with instant rebate. instant rebate is supposed to be used for installation; however, it allowed me to apply it and check out without selecting installation through Home Depot. if you have a movers coupon you can get an additional 15% off. tip on the movers coupons, mine said it expired a month ago but was still valid. Use a certain credit card with 5% cash back through PayPal checkout for additional savings. YMMV

Hey OP, so which route you went for installation? As it's really costly to get it from Home Depot or similar retailers like Best Buy, lowes etc

How much roughly? Few hundred? I wanted to do Costco but they don't seem to carry this brand.

Replacing a dishwasher is one of the easiest diy projects. I would not pay more than 100 for that job. I just replaced one with one arm after shoulder surgery.

Best Buy also has the Bosch 100 series for $549 for the black and white version [bestbuy.com]. It also comes with the Bosch direct wire junction box for free and a $50 gift card promo if you opt for installation [bestbuy.com].

This may be a better deal for someone that wants (or doesn't mind) the black or white color and needs the junction box. The box is $20-$30 by itself so getting it for free is a nice touch. Best Buy also accepts PayPal which is on 5% cashback on my Chase card this quarter.

Bosch is the only universally praised dishwasher that I can find reviews for so I hope this will be a good unit. I know the 100 series is their entry-level model, but it's got everything I will ever need. This will be replacing a 14 year old Kenmore dishwasher that has like 15 different wash modes but I've literally only used "normal wash" 99% of the time since owning it.

I would be weary of this model. Mine started on fire last week and almost burned our house down. 1 1/2 years old. Bosch has had recalls in the past for fire hazards too.

This specific model Bosch or a different one? What exactly caught on fire?

I've got one getting delivered on Friday so I'd be interested in knowing what the issue was.
