I bought this last time it was $20. I wish I hadn't. A two axis gimbal is completely useless. You'll never really be in a situation where you'd only need stabilization on two axis. It just doesn't work well. The motor is way too weak for my iPhone 12 Pro. I thought it
Ugh this not be a good gimbal at $20 but I figure I could use it as a tripod or selfie stick at least. Nope. The thing has to be on and powered otherwise your phone just flops on it like a dead fish. Worse yet is it requires you to download an app to use it. So yeah..wish I hadn't bought this piece of junk. It also didn't hold my phone very well with a case on it. I might be able to get it to work if I tried a bit harder but I just don't think it would work really well if I got it working exactly as it should. I would pass.

I have the Q3…. Get a better gimbal. It doesn't give you up and down stabilization. And it really struggles with your typical smart phone size unless your rocking an iPhone 13 mini or something

The Smooth X is a 2-axis gimbals whereas the Smooth Q3 is a 3-axis gimbals.

If you walk and film, you'd want the Smooth Q3.

Otherwise, you'll noticed a noticeable bounce with each step you take in the Smooth X. If you're okay with filming from a static location, the Smooth X would work.

However, be wary that older gimbals might not be able to support the weight and size of newer devices. In one Q&A, the vendor said it was best suited for the iPhone 11.

Picked up the Smooth-Q3. Online reviews from reputable sites (just google the model and add review) seem above average. Worse case I get it and it's not to my liking, I can return it.
Return shipping is not free and PayPal is ending the return shipping reimbursement program. Other ways to return it for free?

I've been on slickdeals for like 15 years, and just in the past year for some reason I've come to appreciate how valuable the comments are. I learn so much just browsing random threads even if I don't buy lol

Thanks for this! I was about to buy, but held off because of the battery thing.

These are great when the shot is important enough to not be shaky, but not important enough to film with a camera instead of a phone. Please tell me this does portrait too!

I'll always get a laugh out of the "serious photographer" using a gimbal for a phone, unless they're live-streaming.

Modern phones are pretty darn impressive at video capture. Better video quality will be requiring a larger dedicated device.

I'll take it if you're just gonna chuck it! I regularly open up and find the exact pouch cell used (or hack in external USB bank) for imported goods that don't have replaceable batteries. Only problem is waiting for shipping from China..
If it was put together, it can be taken apart, batteries replaced.

looking at the first pic, I thought I was going to get a good deal on sweet war hammer. Disappointed.

Unfortunately the Q3 can't handle the extra weight of the 14 pro max
