I have this set up. I bought the blackstone back in 2019 I think. It came with the stand. This set up is a pain to move with unit, and make the cooktop level. I guess it really depends on your situation and use. I store in garage. Then take outside when needed. I saw the newer models have wheels which I would like. Just my experience.
Oh-don't put your bottles of oil or water on the side tray. They will melt! Um-let's just say I have experience. I wish the side counter was larger. Its small and items get hot next to griddle.

Great price, but I've had success putting my 17" griddle on a 4' folding lifetime table which collapses nicely and serves additional uses… trying to decide if the lifetime may melt/warp with frequent use, and if this is better.

I'm right there with ya. RIP grill scrubber, Montreal and creole seasoning.
This came with my 22" adventure ready.
It's really a mix bag of pros and cons.
Pro: holds 17" and 22", it does collapse down, small end table,
Cons: not easy to level, small table gets too hot, leg adjustments are just thumb screws that push into the leg that extends; the more you adjust the more you'll bend and dent the legs making less and less secure, rounded top means griddle can wobble even if whole thing is level.
At this price it might be a good deal but honestly not worth over $100 at retail. Blackstone is cool but their engineers cut corners to keep things cheap.

Same. When camping I put it on a 6 ft folding table and is my camp kitchen where I put everything else as well. I would not want a single-purpose stand without much space to do food prep and store everything else needed.

I use a small folding 48 in (24x24 Folded) mainstays table.I got it through SD several years ago for 15.00 on sale.
I got a piece of scrap aluminum sheet from the local metal store. I cut it to the shape of the table and glued it to the top of the table with contact adhesive. Easy to clean and have my 17 BS on one side and use the other side as work surface and cutting board,
Its great for campsites, our cook tent etc. It takes up very little room folded up and is easy to clean.

I've always used my griddle while camping on the same table, and it never has come close to camping, even when I accidentally left the griddle on for a couple hours. 🤦🏼 ♂️

I got one basically for free when I bought my Blackstone a few years ago. It was pretty great when it was brand new, but after minimal use it started to fail for some of the reasons you mentioned. I don't think I'd buy another one even at this price. A flaming hot griddle full of food on a unreliable wobbly stand is just a bad idea. I'd pay more for better leg locks. This one is not worthy of the Blackstone name.
