It's showing up as $119 now. Regardless, it's pretty slow for a WiFi 6 system. " 500 Mbps (wireless connection) on this mesh wifi system."

These don't have dedicated wired or wireless backhaul. I would stay away.

Good point, but while wireless backhauls are super convenient, they come with a set of disadvantages. One of them is the slow transmission rate. Compared to its wired counterpart, wireless backhaul router offers slow transfer speeds due to its lower maximum bandwidth. Also, it shares the network spaces between users, which also slows the transmission down.

Which is why I said dedicated wired or wireless backhaul. This system can't even do wired backhaul. It will get exponentially slower compared to similar systems that offer it.

As far as transmission rate is concerned take a look at 6e and dedicating 6ghz band to backhaul. It gets very close to gig speeds depending on distance. Wired is slightly better but not enough to go through the hassle of running cables through the house.

If this adds any improvement at all than a single ISP provided modem then it's worth the $101

Good price if legit. Sale price at other places for 3 pack has been $169. I wonder if this is 1 or 2 pack since product title and description doesn't mention 3 pack and they're all 3rd party sellers, but qty says 3 count and item # is for 3 pack.

Yes, I can confirm. It is the three pack. One gateway and two satellites.

They are being sold by a 3rd party reseller not Walmart. It's possible these could be refurbs or not really a 3 pack. They're also older and dated models without ethernet backhaul and limited to 500Mbps. I wouldn't take the risk, Amazon discounts the newer models regularly.

For my case use it is best for the price. As I mentioned earlier, they ARE three-packs, and they looked new, even beyond the shrink wrap and packaging. I need it for the IoT to make a ZigBee network which I need to reach both in the front yard and backyard via nodes for static applications. Bandwidth is of no import since the main devices will stay on the first wifi network. Of course if you want it to be the main home wifi network you should look elsewhere.

fyi the new echo 4 and 5 will act as eero 6 repeaters.

if you are going to go eero go ahead and get the 6e.

the average house just needs 1 router and no repeaters.

Just got a set.
Our issue isn't bandwidth it's keeping devices connected. Hope this helps!
