If you don't have an OLED/need a TV...you need this. Sorry.
$500 more isn't "a couple". Lol.
Omg, I don't need this. I don't need this. I don't need this.

How many TVs have you owned that needed warranty in the first 5 years? For me, it's been ZERO.
I've had two. A bad panel on a Samsung that started getting blotches and an LG TV with a vertical line.

Both were outside of manufacturer's warranty and within extended warranty? And both were covered by extended warranties with no hassle?

Wow! 2 for 2 outside of initial warranty. That's gotta be rare. I'm glad to hear you got taken care of with the extended warranties.

My OLED is great but started having problems after 4 years.

I'm not going to say don't get a warranty but personally I never buy warranties for anything and never had an issue. Waste of money imo. There are certainly cases where you can take advantage of them and make them worth it though. I'd just thoroughly check the set when you get it and send it back within the return window if anythings wrong with it. If not, odds are you're good.

Also, if you keep debating stuff like this you're going to miss the deal. It's highly unlikely for any better price to come along and I imagine this will sell out.

Agree. Especially when the price of the product is dropping this low, but the warranty price is probably based on the product being much more expensive, it makes even less sense.

The fact is, warranty companies have to make money, right? They have there data to show them how much to charge and still make money. if everyone who has extended warranty used that warranty, the warranty company would be out of business. The fact is most of these warranty companies know most people will never need or use the warranty.

Alright, you guys know you are the exception not the rule right? But fine i get it, do what you want with your money. I don't need everyone who has had issues with their tv replying to me (even though in the grand scheme of things, it is still a very small fraction of tv owners).

I will retract my statement.

Pretty crazy deal if you have the Amazon Prime credit card. I'd be pulling the trigger on this if i hadn't bought my 77" A80J for $1997.

If you're on the fence buy the c1. I am impressed with this tv and 1100 is $200 less than I paid for a deal at Costco 6 months ago.

I've been on a 55" TCL 6 series for the past 3 years. Great TV (for the price). I've never seen an OLED in person mostly because I knew it would sway me to buy one. I've been reading about the CX since that dropped, then the C1 of course. I really hope I'm blown away. I pulled the trigger on this. The last time I spent money like this on a TV was Dec 2013. It was a 55" Panasonic VT60 plasma for $1500. Those Panny plasmas were beautiful. I never stay up until 4am so this was meant to be.
