Wow, surprise. Up there with the best tv deals of the year. Right there with the Samsung 85" QN90A plus 7" tablet for $17XX earlier this year.

Which prime credit card and anybody know if you can apply and use the card same day?
I think the reports of 10% back are coming from the Amazon Store card (Synchrony), which, on my end, shows a $100 gift card upon approval. The Prime Rewards card (Chase) offers the $200 on approval. Nerdwallet is saying the Prime Rewards card can be used instantly after approval in the amazon account.

I'm still researching into this.

Edit: Amazon Store card is not on the list of Synchrony cards that give instant access to credit cards after approval (source: upgradedpoints), however this may still be incorrect.

The Prime Rewards card is probably the best way to go if you are going to go down this route. 5% + $200 gift card. Just be wary of the 5/24 Chase rule so you don't take a credit hit for nothing.

I don't need this tv! Bought it anyway. Applied for Amazon CC and got a $200 gift card and will get 5% cash back making this $950 plus tax. Amazing deal.

I'd still rather have the b2 I purchased from Costco for 1299 and tge peace of mind that comes with a 5 year warranty. Many have said there isn't a noticeable difference between the c2 and b2. Can't imagine c1 is noticeably better than b2.

That's exactly what I did, plus you qualify for the 10% back as well. Couldn't pass it up at that price
So you can instantly use the credit card for purchase ?

I have three of these in various rooms of my house for different people, and this is the TV to get.

I liked it so much that I bought the same thing for my mom so that we all visit on holidays. We have a great TV to watch together.

Once you see a quality, OLED in particular, you can't go back

Hopefully it's better than the E8 I have. Burn in after less than 3 years. It's Fortnite, I barely play that much, maybe 3 to 4 hours a week if that. Kinda makes me never want OLED again.

I appreciate the advice, but I don't have credit cards. I didn't want to risk missing out so I went for it without an extended warranty. Who knows how many C1s are still available at this point.
You gotta get at least one credit card. Early in life i was against them and then an old man put it this. If someone steals my credit card, i call the bank and say it wasn't me. The bank reverse the charges and i move on. If someone steals my debit card, my personal money is gone while the investigation happens. Eventually you may get your money back, but it will take time. Its a security blanket if you have the discipline to pay it off before the interest hits. Usually 25 days..
