sine wave version for all your tinder electronics!

i.e. new 65" tcl tv and/or favorite sex toy

replacement 9Ah 12v batteries are about $20 each on ebay and it takes 2. though before you replace the batteries, re-seat the battery pack a couple of times as these units can sometimes indicate a dead battery pack when it just needs to be re-seated.

FYI Costco has the 1500 VA true sine wave Cyberpower model for $150 currently. https://www.costco.com/cyberpower...27623.html

Not really a comparison as I'm not familiar with the details, just pointing out another sale I saw today.
Interestingly enough, that's the older version of their 1500VA with coax protection still in the back FYI. I currently have the 1350VA version of the Costco one (My first one died after a few years). I'm really surprised these are still in production since their newer one secretly came out around late 2019 (without coax protection unfortunately). After my first 1350VA bit the dust in December 2019, I decided to get the 1500VA version of it from Amazon (the pictures were still of the old one), but they sent me the brand new version [amazon.com] with a color screen, but without the coax protection I needed. I couldn't send it back b/c it was a battery, so I was stuck with it lol, but it's been going strong ever since for almost 3 years now in my living room.

Sorry for derailing an APC-thread, but just endorsing this Costco version as a better buy than this deal. It has the same pure sinewave specs as this APC unit and also allows monitoring via USB if needed that you can pair with CyberPower Power Panel or something like a NUT server for remote monitoring. I don't see any USB port to connect to a device (or some expansion port) on this APC one which is a pretty disappointing for power users at this $200 price.

Does it have signal link to tell server to shutdown gracefully?

Some reviewers mention that 2021 units were a fire hazard due to underrated mosfets:

Anyone have experience with this model?

Expensive… was $115 for pure sinewave via B&H video in 2020 as a reference. Regularly goes on sale 1500VA via Costco as well.

Disclaimer: I'm not knowledgeable enough to provide direct commentary on the topic.

But I was going to purchase the Costco Cyberpower Sinewave unit until I learned about the issue where if there's a battery fault, the entire unit becomes inoperable. That swayed me away from getting them. I then looked into it further after finding this deal and found this article:

https://blog.networkprofile.org/c...ups-avoid/

I'm not sure which ones better, but as of the moment I'm buying two of these units.

Thanks for that. I won't buy a ups from Amazon again. They sent me a defective unit and sent me back to the mfg day 1. Bought the Costco unit instead

I bought one and it indicted I had a wiring issue with the outlet. If you have a wiring issue (no ground for example) the warranty is void.

This APC unit does have a port to connect to a PC to use the PowerChute software.

Does it? I must be blind, but the only thing I can think of that would support that is the USB-C port, but I assumed that was input only. Then again I see the "Data Port" so that may make more sense.

I just purchased the 1500 as I have had good experiences with the 1350 and 1000 versions. Those came with a data port that converted to USB to plug into a computer. Works well for an application that looks like it came out of 2000. BUT again it works. Shuts down my computer at a preset time to avoid a hard shut down. I am purchasing this 1500 for my servers and 3d printer. The USB-C port is for charging.

FIX for the ERROR on DELIVERY: For those who have complained of receiving a bad unit. I thought I did as well on the 4 units I purchased then found that I needed to plug the battery in before initial use. Makes sense, right? Once I plugged the connectors into the battery, it functioned as I expected them all to.

Actually had one pop and then emit a burn smell. Not sure if it was this specific iteration as I think I got it in 2019. But it was when they had issues with a very loud, annoying humming noise and I went through several exchanges with them. Ultimately, the last one I got from them has had 0 issues. Seems like they were having significant quality control issues, but maybe resolved since then.

I own 4 of these. Microcenter currently has this for $179 and it falls anywhere between $179-$189 every 2-3 months at Best Buy (where I usually end up purchasing or PM from).
EDIT: As stated by another commenter later in this post, the BBY and MC 1500 versions aren't true sine.
