Unless you REALLY need bluetooth built in for some strange reason, the LP3 is a far, far better table in literally every single way. Go for this one.

I wanted Bluetooth to have an Insignia turntable in a separate room from my Yamaha, but no way to enter the PIN.

If you wanted to add bluetooth, those receiver/transmitter dongles are about $15-20. I have one that I use for testing out how old radios I have sound as bluetooth speakers.

Hi Narwhal, I have a question and it seems like you know a good deal about this. I want to have a fairly low cost bookshelf setup, using two Google Home Max speakers I already own in vertical orientation. Can I buy this turntable and an aux converter / splitter to send the signal to each of the Google speakers? Thanks in advance and if anyone else can answer id appreciate it too!

I cant believe this is only a starter table at this price. I have a friend who is an aficiando and would like to know what sort of a mid range to high end table I should shoot for and at what price as far as slickdeals go (something at last somewhat competitive to what he has so he isnt always hosting)?

This is one of the cheapest turntables that has all the pieces of a turntable. There are cheaper ones by ATH and Crosley, but they tend to be missing pieces.

This is a great deal. I bought the successor AT-LP3XBT last month, which adds Bluetooth and corrects some minor flaws in the LP3 (e.g. hard-wired RCA cable) but if I was buying today, I'd probably save the ~$200 and go with this deal instead.

Your speakers will be much more important in determining the quality of sound than your turntable. This turntable with good speakers will blow a $1000 turntable with $100 speakers out of the water.

As far as what is considered good "mid range" or upper entry level tables go, I've read nothing but good things about the Pro-Ject Carbon Debut Evo (MSRP $600). The best deal I've seen on that recently is 10% off every once in a while on Turntable labs website or if you have the Instagram shopping offer you can get a black or walnut one for $480 if you search for it. Hope this helps!
