For most people probably not. Most people won't need 128 gb. The old one is already pretty fast in terms of ui. If you play a lot of games or need hdr 10+ support then maybe. I personally would get the 32 gb last gen for $80 from Costco if you just use it for streaming.

Had a 2017 a 2021 and now a few 128gb 2022. Love the quality on my oleds but the 2022s has some bugs with freezing but fix itself quickly. I game with moonlight and the 2022 is better. Get infuse for sure if you local stream

Sometimes there's a 3-10 second freeze but it works itself out when switching apps. Only happens on the 2022. I'm on 16.1.1

Happens to me as well… especially with YouTube… switching from HDR to Dolby

What is infuse for ? Never mind, googled it.. I use plex for local streaming, is this better than plex ?

If you are interested in thread and need a device as a border router this could be a good entry. It's my first Apple TV and I like it, but can't compare to older models. Got it for $135 with the Best Buy credit card 10% off.
