They may have said that in the past, or these are older units. Either way, the box at the store says fan included. I will test it out tomorrow. If the fan is that nice, I will go get another. My store had several while the one in Rome had none. Just realized where the fan button was. It does have a fan, and it works.
I have this unit and it does have a fan, I believe the standard red one removed the fan due to tariffs but the green TSC model has kept the fan. The box and listing also shows it has a fan.

So, $99 is a good price, especially if you can stack some promo code coupons. I did that with BPS and one of them ended up costing me $69.
