I think the consensus is: C2 is slightly brighter, and weights almost 50% less. Besides that not much. IMO the weight is a big thing so I think I'll get a C2.

Thank you! I was looking at rtings.com and saw this:

The LG C2 OLED is slightly better than the LG C1 OLED, although the performance of the two is quite similar. The C2 is a bit brighter, especially in SDR and when displaying small, bright highlights in HDR. The C2 has a slightly wider color gamut but worse tone mapping, so it doesn't respect the creator's intent as well. The C2 also has slightly improved smart features, including a new hands-free voice control feature, and the smart interface now supports user profiles, meaning you can customize the user experience to each member of your family.

So, there's the weight, new processor, slight improvement in the brightness in C2 over C1. Need to decide if I wanna spend the extra $300 (actually it's $400 as Amazon is giving 10% back when using their Prime Visa credit card). 🙃
Make it more difficult for you. C1 and C2 have automatic brightness limiter. C1 you can turn it off, c2 you cant.

I am new to OLED TVs. I have a TCL 65 Inch R Series . I really like the TCL but I also realize I haven't compared it to anything else , can someone give me an opinion is this OLED that much better? Night and day?

Also everybody is talking about burn in, is that something always happens to Oleds?
OLED blows away any TCL. No burn in isnt an issue anymore. Enjoy

Awesome! We just need Costco to follow suit.
Note that the model on Costco is different - OLED65C2AUA vs OLED65C2PUA on Amazon, Best Buy etc.

Its the same TV, often warehouse stores get different model numbers to avoid price matching.

I've read it has something to do with wisa certification. See this:

Costco warranty is through Allstate which does NOT cover burn in. Not sure about the one you are looking at through b&h.
To be honest imo that should not be legal. It is either warranty or no warranty. But things can be done to have them replace the panel... Or the TV. Regardless of the burn in... Lol since they are assholes about the warranty...

Tried to get BB to price match, but they are pretty much denying all price matching requests during black friday deals. Was hoping to pick it up in person tomorrow. Ended up just buying from B&H. Really wish any place that has retail locations would price match this!

Warranty? Not sure if I'll need it with burn in or anything

Not sure why folks keep chasing these aftermarket warranties.

No matter the warranty provider, check reddit...anytime a panel replacement is involved...all these magical fees appear and most folks end up getting quoted over $1000

These warranties are hands down a scam.

I read that "AUA is made in Mexico. PUA is madi in Korea. They have the exact same specs."

all the warranties are scams. read the fine print, check reddit. Why do you think all the insurance companies now offer it...they are pretty much 99.999% return for them.

They will charge a bunch of fees if you try to make a claim and then do the whole "5 months until the part comes"

Honestly, just know that all the MFG test these tvs for > 15k hours lifetime. That is a ton of tv watching.

burn in isnt real unless you watch CNN/fox/cnbc 24/7 (which you shouldnt buy this tv anyway for).

The burn in stuff is fueld by anti-comp marketing 3-4 years ago. Sony even funded some of the ads about it.

Ironically sony now buys its panels from LG ....

TCL Vs LG OLED is like comparing a Hyundai to a Rolls Royce!

I understand but look at all the burn in issues also on the B9 CX and even C1 after a lot less than 15k hrs...
While 15k hrs sounds like a lot it depends ... In my home the tv is on for about 10hrs per day on avg. So that ends up being less than 3.5 years...
