Lowest price I've ever seen on this top of the line player. I have this, it is awesome. Very well built, heavy as well.

Before seeing your post……I just found this at many other sites for similar price, just FYI, in case some have store preference….. Best Buy, World Wide Stereo, Crutchfield, all on sale for similar price. I have been watching this for a few years……. when it was $999 before the price increase a year or two ago, I had a dealer offer to sell me one for $899. Should have bought one then. I have been debating whether to buy this unit, vs the similarly priced Reavon 100 for the last couple of years. They both have their pluses and minuses.

Mind sharing quick pros/cons? I'd hope there'd be few trade offs at this price. Smilie

Reavon 100 plays DVD Audio and Reavon 110 plays DVD Audio and SACD (The Panasonic is not a Universal disc player). I have heard the Panasonic may have some video issues playing older DVD's, and playing certain UHD Blurays, but I cannot confirm this. I have also heard the Panasonic is very good with Tone adjustment of video to adjust better for your TV, OLED or Projector. The Reavon is also a non-known entity in this country. with only one known distributor. Both are not perfect from the reviews I have seen. I agree, it would be nice if there was a near perfect choice. I really wish Oppo was still in the market. I have been slow to upgrade because I love my Oppo BDP103, a near perfect player, IMO…albeit not a UHD player.

I still have an old Denon 3910 in my bedroom using the old 6ch output to a Denon receiver (use to output to an old Harmon Kardon 635, but it started making loud hissing noises through the speakers). Still works like a charm. Although I had to replace the laser thingy. Part was cheap on eBay and I had a coworker replace it for me. The player cost me about $2K if not more back in the day (I think)

For 4K DVD's AND DVD-Audio/SACD playback, I use a Sony UBP-X800M2 in my living room. I think it cost me about $250 on Amazon. Works good enough for me.
