In fairness your deal is a 9 piece blade set this one is a 20 piece set that includes a small packout case & a few more extras.
But yea Home Depot's "normal price" system is insane and insulting and the only thing worse is that Slick Deals now blindly uses it. Back in the day slick deals would post the "normal" or "average" price etc. as well as the most recent best sale price but as it became more of a machine & less of a giant family of enthusiasts i guess clicks and conversions became priority number 1 at any cost? I don't know but I would buy a lot more deals if I was still able to know confidently that I was getting a deal instead of SD embracing the meaningless metrics used by retailers.
I appreciate that it takes some time & research to find out what the ACTUAL selling price has been of late as opposed to the "$69k value, NICE" approach but it's worth it
Ok calm down

Good set to get started for those with a new multi-tool, I think?

This has been on sale for $50 quite regularly. $40 is a great price. The stainless caulk removal piece is my favorite one in the pack. The other ones that are labeled for cutting metal leave a lot to be desired though. Diablo makes a much better, longer lasting metal blade.
I've found that buying a good carbide blade is worth the investment as a DIYer. A lot of these holiday kits you see in the impulse buy section at Home Depot are never carbide. If I wanted a beater blade for drywall, I use HF garbage. That lets me keep a few good carbide for regular use and avoid these big packs in my toolbox.

Which Diablo do you like? I'm looking for something to cut plaster walls which kill normal blades, and possibly cut metal. I've seen people use Milwaukee and Diablo blades to cut metal but never sure which are which.

Not a good apples-to-apples comparison, but less of a hot deal, if compared to this deal earlier this year, where $20 more (but minus sandpaper pieces) included a set of impact driver bits and drill bits too: https://slickdeals.net/f/15862966-74-pc-milwaukee-shockwave-impact-duty-alloy-steel-screw-driver-bit-set-with-titanium-drill-bit-set-and-oscillating-blades-50-free-shipping Funny enough, though, that deal didn't get much attention, and Home Depot is trying to say the current $125-ish price is a Black Friday deal.

The 18 piece actually has 2x as much as the 20 piece. The 20 piece is padded. The 18 piece costs 2x more for good reason lol
