If you have a softstart you can usually start a 15k ac with a 1800/2200 generator from my experience.
My igen2500 could not start my GE 15k without a softstart. With a softstart, even the 1800 sportsman from Walmart could start and run it.
This generator should have no problem staring a 15k ac. However, just because it is technically a 30amp generator it likely won't run everything at the same time like a 30amp shore power connection will. It will probably run the ac and microwave but not also the electric hot water heater. If anyone has this and can run them all I would love to hear about it.

Every application is different but I have found that 240V only needs to be available long enough to heat water and pump it from the well.
A 2200 running watt inverter takes care of standby for electronics, refrigeration, furnace fan and the rest while saving quite a bit of fuel.
A good 6k running watt conventional like Briggs and Straton will have a 389 cc engine which doesn't bog down when starting compressors and motors and the output is clean enough for electronics. Economy 240V conventionals like Westinghouse 5300 274 cc have significantly smaller engines and wide voltage fluctuation which won't harm a water heater but will shorten the life of tools and compressors if used long enough. The smaller engine does give better fuel economy though, 0.42 gph 50% loaded, 0.32 gph 25% loaded per punlished specs.
