I would always choose the white one over the black one for a new purchase, but if you aren't having problems, it may not be worth replacing it either...
Surprisingly responsive on the notifications to my iPhone.

You must use their modem probably but always install your own router.
(I personally use my own modem too).

So, I think you have two options:
1. Buy two units and replace your black one and just use one hub and both sensors.
2. Install the new hub and sensor on your other door that doesn't have one and just have two separate hubs.
Only you can decide which makes more sense to you. One is cheaper, but one is simpler.
I live in a 3 garage house, I believe 2 chamberlain and one craftsman opener. Are the sensors themselves cheaper than purchasing 3 of these units? I saw someone mention $40 earlier. Just wondering if the best thing to do is purchase three of these and use three sensors on one hub or one of these and find two more sensors by themselves, and if there's any compatibility issues with sensors, ie are the expandable specific sensors, where the main sensor needs to go with the hub it came with.
Again, sorry for the ignorance on the subject but I lived many years without a garage and I try to update everything in the new house to smart items
I don't think the sensors are interchangeable. If they were, you could just use the sensors both with one hub.

Apparently I need to connect something to it to give it wifi. I'm not sure if this would help me with that.
