Having had both, I would say this version is much easier to set up and seems to work more seamlessly with less hassles. I gave away my black one and replaced it with a white one because it's much more reliable with my opener. Fortunately, the black one works ok for the person I gave it to.

I would always choose the white one over the black one for a new purchase, but if you aren't having problems, it may not be worth replacing it either...

Similar. 2 secs for internet and then the light flashes and closes. Maybe 5-8 seconds total. Never had an issue where it didn't work the first time. I usually use it with HomeKit from my car as my mirror doesn't have HomeLink. My opener is also Chamberlain.

I already own the Aladdin garage opener with wifi functionality, but if I just want the Amazon delivery function, can I get this to work with the Aladdin?

I currently have the MyQ Gateway which I use with the MyQ App to open/close the garage door. Does this new hub have any additional feature which may be worth "upgrading" the gateway to this hub?

No, you must use the Chamberlain myQ app.

You can set up In-Garage Delivery immediately in the "Works With" section of the myQ app. If you cannot open and close your garage door using the myQ app, you will need to install a myQ Smart Garage Control to make your garage door compatible with Amazon Key. As part of the installation process on the myQ app, you will be prompted to set up Amazon Key In-Garage Delivery.

Same myQ features. Just works with non-Chamberlain openers.

Just a quick heads-up. As of this month, MyQ is no longer working with Alexa or Google Assistant anymore. It will work with legacy MyQ accounts until you sign out and back in and then it will no longer work. Ours stopped working yesterday after 3 years of relatively trouble-free use. MyQ is apparently changing their "works-with" quietly and being pretty shady about it.

For those saying this doesn't work well with mesh systems...what mesh do you have? I have Asus and I setup a different SSID for our 2.4ghz and 5ghz wifi. All our IOT devices (including myQ) use 2.4ghz SSID and the rest use 5ghz SSID. Our setup has been working well for years.

I've seen issues with mesh (especially with IOT devices) if you use the same SSID for both 2.4ghz and 5ghz wifi.

I have the previous (black) one, setting up & works for the first week, after that it stops working using it's own apps. Is not just mine but the same thing for my parent's. Not sure if this is any improvement or worth to try.

I've had the black one 2-3 years, 2 sensors. I use android, no ads in the app. I literally set this thing up and forgot about it. Never gives me any problems, I think I may have had to reboot it once a year, if that. First sensor battery is finally dying. I do like having a log of when the doors open. First year or so I used a routine with Google assistant to close the doors, that stopped working so I pretty much use the app. You can still use "talk to myq close garage door" last time I tried but someone else posted that is going away. I like being able to check the status of my garage door, in case I think I forgot to close it, I can check the app instead of driving around the block. Biggest thing though is that I no longer have to worry about having a garage door opener in the car parked in the driveway, don't need it in there anymore.

Can this be used with Apple's Siri or Homekit? I think the black older version can be used with Siri.

Had this for a year and towards the end it would randomly open the garage door around 1 AM and would stay open until I noticed so I stopped using it.
