FGN (FujiGen) has some quality guitars on sale for Black Friday. For those not familiar with the company, they are a Japanese guitar maker that used to make many guitars for Fender. Listed here is the BIL2M, which is on sale for $419.99. It normally retails for $599.99. FujiGen has several models on sale for Black Friday, including Strat and Les Paul styles.

$75 shipping to NY too. Interesting, but can't take a gamble being out shipping both ways if you don't like it.

$1,189 for the Odyssey Expert seems like a pretty good price. Even after shipping. Not sure I can pass on that one.

Although it isn't for me personally, $945 for the Mythic seems crazy too. The Fishman Fluence Modern pickup set alone costs $200-$250 in most places.

All the reviews on these seem pretty impressive. I think Fujigen makes a lot of the higher-end Ibanez guitars.

They have been around a long time but don't do much in the way of marketing that I have ever seen. I expect resale value would be...not good. Although, at these prices you probably won't get killed.

The nicest guitar I've ever owned was a 2005 fujigen epiphone mij white lacquer sg standard/61 hybrid.

It was a limited run, and compared quite favorably to what Gibson usa was putting out at the time.

She was beautiful, but from another life.

Love my J Custom's and Prestige Ibbys… What's quality like on the lower end of the FGN brand? Maybe I can buy one for my nephews. I wish they had a ELAN. I've come close to buying the purple Axe Palace run a few times.

Unfortunately no good PRS deals so far. I haven't been looking long but doesn't seem like they discount much. (Usually a good sign imo)

I bought a SE SS second hand. Love it to death.

Are these shipped from abroad or USA? Wondering if these are DUTRY=FREE. I bought a guitar from Japan once, USED, and it came with a tax bill from uncle sam -- $120!!

Great question. Since it is the USA site, I assume they are coming from their California location but I couldn't find any documentation confirming that.

Perhaps it would be better to say, I *hope* it is coming from the California site.

EDIT: Actually, I found this:
Quote :
Customer may be subject to paying duties and taxes at the time of receiving the instrument for any orders delivered outside the United States.
That would imply that they are shipping from the US.
