They ensure someone keeps giving them access to all their private data, which the user agreement when you set up the device guarantees. Your data is worth a small fortune. Google didn't become a goliath selling phones.

interesting the Pixel 6a is not on the trade-in list. Many of us have the Pixel 6a on the way from other trade in deals that made if nearly free in the past few days.

I think there's a difference between getting monthly credits for the device you got for "free" after some kind of promo and the one you pay monthly fees to own/lease after X payments are made. I might be wrong but technically one should "own" the phone in first case but it probably depends how carrier defines it in the terms.

I've been dealing with the sh!t heads at verizon for years. If you have bill credits pending, and you pay off the phone, you forfeit pending the bill credits. that is how they keep you.

I have a 256gb pixel 6 and it looks like a straight trade ( + tax) for the 128gb pixel 7. I've never done the trade-in thing before; any words of caution/wisdom?

Word of advice if stalking the thread for a SF code.

I had one within seconds, applied and hit checkout and it wouldn't process because somebody used before me.

I got lucky on the second code I tried.

So unless you are constantly refreshing and have everything setup and ready, its not likely you will get it. Just a FYI and good luck, and if they send me one I will post.
