1) Pixel 6 has a 6.4-inch screen, and the Pixel 7 is 6.3. I like larger.
2) Pixel 6 has 4,614 mAh, Pixel 7 has 4,355 mAh. In my case, I need more battery life.
3) Pixel 6 has Tensor CPU, while Pixel 7 has G2. Its AI chip is mostly in camera functionality. I'm OK with the Pixel 6 camera. It takes excellent pictures.
4) Front Camera: 8MP/10.8 MP. I have seen enough of MP wars.
5) Zoom: 7x/8x. Not noticeable.
With taxes included, I have to shell out another $55 for a new phone. My Pixel 6 is just six months old. I also paid an additional $22 for the Pixel 6 OEM case. Finally, I need to reinvest for the Pixel 7 case, an additional $30. So overall $85 for not so impressive upgrade. Long live Pixel 6.

- P7 is what the P6 should have been. Fingerprint sensor on my P6 was meh, it's been rock solid on my P7. For me, this improvement itself was worth the $20 as I no longer get frustrated with repeatedly placing my thumb on and off and sensor and then eventually having to enter my PIN code.
- P6 didn't have the Face Recognition for unlocking, it's works very good on P7, use the fingerprint sensor less now

- The button placement on the side is slightly lower on P7, it just feels like a better placement, seems to fit better to my hand. Maybe also due to it being slightly slimmer.
- Size doesn't matter - LOL - Coming from P6 to P7, that minor reduction in screen size isn't even noticeable (IMHO)
- Slightly smaller battery in P7, but from my actual every day use the battery life is as good and may be slightly better. Gonna guess it's improvement in the CPU chip.
- I seem to find a better cell service reception, I believe while same modem it's improved placement in the device.
- There are some new camera features as well with P7. Not sure they'll port those over to P6, but maybe they will.
And one soft point to consider, for the P7 a P6 was $479 trade and P5 was $400, so the P7 will most likely be worth more on a trade-in for P8 or P9 in the future (hopefully Google really makes some significant improvements on those), so the $20 paid now may reap more rewards in the future. And I used a "superfan" code, so I also get $100 Play Store credits.Like I said, I get what you are saying. But at same time the minor improvements are worth the $20 upgrade to me. But if you are happy with P6 and no issue with the fingerprint sensor, probably nothing compelling to upgrade.
