basically, afaik, c3+ are made in germany, c1's china, but overall, i think the best is what you use it for. they also have different attachements, for pets, etc...

so, hard to say exactly, what may work best for you...

If you have a local authorized dealer, I'm guessing going in armed with this deal information you could probably negotiate a simple price match. In fact I've heard a few anecdotes about how local authorized dealers sometimes throw in something small, like a couple extra bags or maybe even an extra attachment, to decidedly be your best deal.
Even without any token freebies, a simple price match from a local dealer would almost certainly improve your position, regarding obtaining convenient and timely warranty repairs in the future.

I know Miele makes some good small appliances. Can you recommend any particular one from the list?

Is the Miele Complete C3 Calima adequate for a 3,000 s.f. home with mostly carpeted floors??

TBH, I really want an upright bagged vacuum.

Is Focus a Miele authorized dealer? I know they sell grey market, just wondering for warranty purposes.

No, with carpet you need C3 with electric power head. Kona and up.

Yes, always haggle at vacuum shops. Like killjoy1970 mentioned, if they won't come down on price you can almost always get them to throw in free attachments, bags, and filters.

If you are considering one of the high end models, I would check out SEBO as well. Equal performance, durability, etc but cheaper bags, filters, and replacement parts. SEBO designs their vacuums for commercial applications, so can take a beating, true BIFL.

Don't think we had a power head but used mostly on carpet, is that why ours fell apart? What's the minimum price for one with the powerhead? Are these supposed to last a lifetime or something? Are the bags more expensive than other vacuums?

Picked up the C1 Cat and Dog on the last deal back in September. It was the cheapest model with an electro brush. Build quality is great and this version is made in Germany. Great vacuum and experience with Focus!

So many options. May just go for the C3 Complete just to make sure it meets my needs.

There are many models within the Complete C3 line. Differences depend on what kind of floor you are vacuuming & features.

Yeah I'm trying to decide between the Marin or the Dog and Cat model.

I'm about 60/40 carpet and LVP. I do have two dogs but I like the idea of the HEPA filter on the Marin. Not sure how much I care about the LEDs at the expense of a larger head.

Edit: I pulled the trigger on the Marin. And ordered the STB101 attachment on Amazon for $64.
